MWHS Choirs Present 2025 Awards at Spring Concert
The Mound Westonka High School choirs hosted their annual spring concert on May 12 at the Westonka Performing Arts Center. The concert, titled “Unclouded Day” with guest artist and operatic soloist, Grady Klein, took guests on a musical journey.

WALA Class Visits WeCAN to Connect to Community
Students at the Westonka Alternative Learning Academy (WALA) visited Western Communities Action Network (WeCAN) on May 14, as part of their year-long curriculum which includes a variety of career development activities.

Westonka Schools Celebrate Staff Appreciation Week
Teacher Appreciation Week is designated during the first week of May as a time to honor the individuals who lend their passion and skills to education. At Westonka, each school celebrated their special teachers and staff members in their own unique way.

Westonka Honors Dedicated Educators, Volunteers and Retirees at Annual District Celebration
Westonka Public Schools staff and retirees gathered May 2 at the Westonka Performing Arts Center for the annual district recognition event. Emceed by Special Services Director Dr. Emily Rustman and School Board Clerk Loren Davis, the morning program honored staff who had reached years of service milestones, celebrated the building and district Teachers of the Year, recognized the 2025 winners of the Ann Bremer White Hawks Award for community volunteers, and bid farewell to retiring staff.

Drill, Munsterteiger Named Yost-Haddorff-Leopold Award Winners
Mound Westonka High School is proud to name seniors Cole Drill and Cole Munsterteiger as the 2025 male recipients of the Yost-Haddorff-Leopold Award. This year’s voting resulted in a tie, meaning both young men will be honored.
